Oral Surgery

When it comes to oral surgery, it's a matter of trust and experience...

Our dental team are surgically trained and are recognised by the General Dental Council as specialists in oral surgery. They can carry out most surgical procedures and consultations within our luxurious, state of the art established specialist referral practices. The referral practices have been built up on a reputation spanning 20 years within the local dental community. Our specialists are also registered as Consultant Oral Surgeons with most Private Medical Insurance companies, including BUPA, and treatment can be carried out at our facility (subject to PMI approval).

Difficult extractions of teeth

The goal of modern dentistry is to prevent tooth loss. When a tooth cannot be saved, extraction (removal) of the tooth may be the only course of treatment. A tooth that is very decayed or damaged or loose because of gum disease may have to be extracted. Some teeth are more difficult to take out than others because of the size, shape, position in the mouth or the shape of their roots, therefore may require specialist help.

Extraction of impacted wisdom teeth

Wisdom teeth (third molars) are the last teeth to come through. They may not erupt, or emerge from the gums until your late teens or early twenties if they erupt at all. Most often, they're impacted or trapped in the jawbone and gums usually because there's not enough room for them in your mouth.

If impacted wisdom teeth cause problems like infection, pain or decay, their removal by a Specialist may be recommended.
